Welcome to Soccer is Futbol!

I’m finally doing it.

After numerous requests from friends, family, and colleagues I have finally started a blog about the beautiful game. Here you will be able to read all about my views on the great game of soccer. Expect to being seeing my opinion on a lot of things, from MLS to EPL to even the J-League from time to time; National teams, world class players, homegrown talent, anything and everything is fair game.

For those of you that know and love the sport, I welcome your comments and your criticisms. For those of you learning about soccer, I want your comments too! I give my assurance that you will be well informed and hopefully entertained; and please feel free to get in touch with me with any questions you have, I will be happy to answer them.

Just so everyone knows, I’m not a reporter. I don’t have access to coaches and/or players. I don’t have access to any league offices. I’m not, nor was I ever, a professional player. I do, however, consider myself an expert on the subject. I played the game for over 15 years, and I still do today, I’ve coached at the elite youth level for 3 years; and I will endeavor to maintain a high level of expertise and credibility. In summary, I’m a fanatic about the sport, and I hope you will be too.
